We, Varun and Akanksha are the founders of TAVI Spaces and to our surprise, this journey came as a total surprise to us. We never planned to do this but the universe chose this for us and we welcomed this chapter of our life with open arms.

Due to lockdown and Mr. COVID, we got stuck at home and working full time than ever. Out of nowhere, I just decided to start my online store, I shared this idea with Varun and he joined in. We decided to do something in the area of home décor and bring Indian hand-crafted pieces into the market.  

We have always been fascinated with the local crafts & arts and I fondly remember my grandma and mom knitting and stitching everything from clothes, bedding, and accessories for the family.

Coming from a country with no shortage of culture, we decided to start our journey from Jaipur. As we all know Jaipur is the main hub of traditional hand block art and crafts that have been passed on from generation to generation in families of artisans. After that we searched few more cites and developed our product line.

Working with local artists from rural areas is something we really love and always wanted to support. By joining hands with local artisans we know that we are supporting a livelihood and promoting local industries and craft. This gives us a sense of something positive and something good. Once we started to meet new artists and see their work, we really fell in love and started to curate our collection.
